Okay so about 3 weeks ago i had unprotected sex. Please don't lecture I learned my lesson and that was the first time i ever had u.p sex. It was the last day of my period. I do have an answer for you and I hope you take this to heart and the most important, your thoughts and how you react to certain situations. Being drunk is no excuse for this so called friend of yours. First of all I would not trust her. You really do not know what exactly the relationship is between her and your ex-boyfriend. Also a true friend would not speak to in the way she has. Maybe she does have mixed feelings about her sexuality.In that case you want to stay away. Whether or not she was drunk I do believe people say things they really feel and do not have the guts to say it when they are sober. If this friendship was really worth it I would tell her what she said to you(although I think she knows) and just confront her. See what her reaction is. And for you I think you do know whats up. I live in London and he lives in Ireland. We met 6 months ago, after we talked tons online and I decided to fly over there. We've been flying back and fourth maybe once or twice a month ever since. He's at university and I'm still in school, so he's more busy than me. When we first started dating in January, he wouldn't talk to me until 10pm every night and he'd go out clubbing around 4 nights a week. I felt rather neglected, but I kept quiet and just thought 'it'll change soon'. Anyway, it didn't. He agreed with me and stopped. Anyway, problems progressed. He'd forget me, not be fair etc. For example my nan died a few months ago and instead of being supportive, he made things harder for me. I've been depressed for a long time and even suicidal these past few months and he doesn't understand that the way he makes me feel (not worth it, unloved, unattractive) really does not help my depression! Anything nice he's done (bought me flowers, taken me out, anything sentimental) I've had to ask him to do. He's said if I stop asking him to do things, then he'll do it by himself. But I gave him that chance and it didn't happen. He's said he'll change so many times and that tomorrow will be better, but it never happens. I also found out he'd been camming with other females and saying sexual things to them in the first 2 months of our relationship. I even caught him appearing offline to me on msn, and talking to this girl he was in love with instead. The other day I was having dinner by myself and had a little wine with it(2 glasses at very most). Three hours later, I swear it was this long, I had just received VERY upsetting news and decided on a whim to take a trip from LA to Santa Barbara. I did not feel any intoxication whatsoever at this point. I was devastated by the news I received which caused me to bawl my eyes out the entire way to SB. So I made it all the way to Santa Barbara and was pulled over for putting my blinker on too late before turning. The cop has me follow her finger, which I do fine. She has me get out of my vehicle and do all the sobriety tests. I walk the line and raise my foot and am completely competent throughout all of this. The male cop that is also there looks at her and says... she seems fine? And she kept looking at him to be the judge and he was like you're the one doing it? Anyway so then she asks if I will do the breathalyzer, which of course, I know that I am not drunk by any means, so I agree to. I end up blowing a .081. I am completely baffled and so is the male cop. The lady says I'm under arrest and puts me in her car. She then tells me I am allowed to do a blood test which I say I definitely want to do. I keep reading conflicting information about whether blood test will register lower BAC or not but my god I wasn't drunk it had been close to five hours since my wine at this point. So currently I am awaiting the results of the blood test and praying to jesus, buddah, just everybody that it comes back under .08. I am a full time college student that also works full time and I can't afford any of this or to tell my parents. The thought of them finding out causes me to want to immediately commit suicide. I would never be able to tell anyone this in real life. All I have been doing is researching everything there is to know about DUI cases/methods of suicide. I am writing this in regards to my girlfriend. She works at a inbound pharmacutical company. It is very diverse there the majority are black. My girlfriend is white by the way. What happened was there was. She is a manager there. There was a position that opened up for anyone who wanted to interview she was interested yet the manager in that divison she knows and is very hard to work for so she decided not to put her self in for that positon. This employee who for my girlfriend who is not yet at her level interviewed for the position. It really was ackward any my gf didnt understand how she was eligible since she is new and hasnt reached a manager level yet. It ended up they interviewed her and told her that they think she needs more experience so they moved my girlfreinds boss who is a considered "lead level" into that position leaving an opening for that "lead" position. My girlfriend was next in line since she has been with the company the longest to move into that :lead" role. It ends up by default the girl who works for my girlfriend that asked her to be in that role and she excepted it. From what I have been told this girl is unexperienced is no where near the level of exeperience that my girlfreind is at yet they moved her there. It was a slap in my gf face. Everyone at work came up to her and was shocked and asked why they didnt move her. They never said anything to my girl. They even went as far as writing an email (which they never do) to everyone in the company congratualting her and had a paragraph how great she is. Should I quit my intern/job?

I interned at a place 3 months ago ,and everything started to go decently for the first 2 months. The main thing they taught me was data administration work and started me at $9 an hour which is just ok for a person like me with my qualifications. Anyways, I own my own website design business ,and 3 months + go by ,and my boss still considers me an intern. First of all, I use to have this great computer that was a fast computer that I could get my job done pretty quick. I type 95 wpm. So they remove this great computer ,and instead give me a 10 year old computer in which it's very hard to do my own work. My main contribution to the company was learning in my intern ,but 3 weeks before he makes a decision (my boss) whether to keep me or not he slams me with all of this work that involves learning a complete different piece of software ,and expects me to adapt. I adapt as fast as possible ,and constantly get lectures and whined at for making "mistakes." First of all, I developed the company intranet ,and have done Data Administration work ,and type 95 wpm in which they have not given me credit. He gives me a piece of software literally 2 days after hiring me ,and expects me to learn it ,and gets pissed because I made "mistakes" which is inevitable for a first time user on a certain software. And when I try to impress he shuts down my ideas or gets upset ,and then sometimes he even decides he likes them. It's about 2 weeks since I graduated ,and I am beginning to question whether my job is really worth it. Since then I have moved in which it takes me a 45 minute drive to go to work + traffic. So literally I am making $60 for 10 hours of my time which is poor I literally view this as working at McDonald's ,and driving so far to work there ,but this isn't the case. They are paying me to use my freaking brain ,and I am not getting respected for it. It's just I have so much anxiety from my whiny boss who can't stand "mistakes" even if they are minimal very very minimal ,and just because I am a person of great integrity have I stayed because I want to display true value to the company. However, they took away my good computer, they are giving me tasks I never was even taught ,and I ask for a job description and he responds that "until you don't make mistakes, your still an intern" so what the hell am I doing here? Homemade NaOH battery?

Every summer i make my own soap for myself for the year, this year i ordered way too much Sodium Hydroxide and German pretzels are getting old. In my garage i found a working 350 watt DC to AC power inverter so i decided to use my extra NaOH as an electrolyte in a homemade battery to use with the inverter to get a couple working outlets if the power ever goes out. I realize this battery is going to have an epic number of cells to power this thing but i'm willing to give it a shot. Long story short i am asking if anyone has experience with something like this (using NaOH as electrolyte) and if so you could save me alot of research and experimentation if you could give me some data, ie which metals to use as anode/cathode or is copper and zinc from the old grade school potato batteries still optimal, what concentration of solution is optimal, what volume of liquid/distance between electrodes, optimal surface area of said electrodes, would i be better off with a series or parallel circuit to connect the cells, things like that. This may be my first time building a legit battery that makes usable amounts of power, but being a science major i am very familiar with the chemistry so no need to dumb down the nomenclature and DEFIANTLY keep the safety lectures on caustic solutions and electrical safety to yourself, I know my way around the stuff.

Why does my Stepfather/stepfather's family/ hate me?

Okay, I'm going to start this off by saying that I need some clarification on how to deal with him and his parents, because frankly, this pisses me off. We got in to a fight over how I don't do well in school, and how I refuse to conform in a uniform public school (don't ask me how that works) And tossed my Doc Martens across the house, and yelled at me. and it's always been this way, and when he found out I smoked, he basically looked at me and said "Your a disappointment" And started shunning me all these years. I come home with my nose pierced, he yells and says it's 'not ethical' and that No one would hire me at a job with that piece of metal sticking out of my face (I then later got a call from a music store and had gotten hired, and acted a little smug) And then there's the grandparents, now, don't get me wrong, I love them, but the littlest brother gets all of their attention, they talk to him, and the last time I visited them they said a total of six words to me, then they got mad after I had told them that the milk they had was sour. I try my hardest to be nice to them and to not swear around them, but the last fight I had involved all of them, I said '**** off and stop telling me how to live my life' and I stormed out of the house, then later when I returned, they where talking about me and how I was 'wild'' and that I needed discipline. What the **** is their problem anyways? NBA 2k11 keeps freezing (commentator glitch)?

After the second patch or the ps3 system update back in December,my game keeps freezing while playing an exhibition game, associate exhibition games, or my player games. The commentators stop talking, then when they do come back it's a play from earlier in the quarter, and also the game feels slower. I turned off the instant replay and etc so that can be something the game will stop loading because at times after a made basket, the opponent tries to take out the ball but doesn't. All five of their players come to get the ball while the inbound passer moves side to side and at that point I need to quit. Once I quit the game freezes and causes me to restart my ps3. Aside from fixing THAT glitch (by turning off replay), when the quarter is over or going into half time, the game takes forever to "catch up" and finally the new quarter or half starts again. There are plenty of schools that accept a 3.2 GPA. You are still a freshman, though, and have more than enough time to get your GPA up. Work harder and get better grades the next three years and you'll be fine! Also- prepare for the SAT/ACT and do really well. What you should do is look at the schools you want to go to and figure out their requirements and make sure you meet them! You still have plenty of time and can definitely pull your GPA up before college. Like I said, do very well on the SAT and ACT. I am currently a student at Georgia Tech and my high school GPA did not meet their requirements but I did very good on my SATs and that made up for it! Good luck!

A few of the UC schools look at two GPA's the full 4 year one, and then just sophomore/junior year combined one. You should take to a school counselor to get the specifics about this. I think the general rule is UC will take the top 10% of the graduating class. Of course other aspects are looked at too including clubs and organizations. Also SAT/ACT tests. Ok so I'll be a freshman at ucsb this fall. When to communicate in the air?

I was on a short flight jumping airports yesterday to get fuel with my instructor and on the way back we were in between the two airports and he called in our position and that we were inbound to the runway. My question, why was it in the middle of the flight and not right before entering the traffic pattern? There was only a bit of traffic in front and it was about 500-1000 feet above us but it's heading was perpendicular to ours. Could it have been that he was warning the traffic of our position?

Yesterday after school (I go to a public school) I was smoking in the parking lot of a grocery store (I'm 18 and it's legal) when my teacher came out of nowhere and started lecturing me about how smoking is so bad etc etc and then started hitting my butt really hard with her hand. Ok, so I have a vegetable garden in front of my house and there are pest eating them. Some of the vegetables getting eaten are squash, artichokes, swiss chard, and even my cherry tree. Even our herbs are being eaten. We aren't sure if they are spider mites or pincher bugs. There are an endless amount of insects so me and my family are stumped. I live in the oak grove in Santa Barbara close to a park all the bugs aren't surprising. The leaves are kind of brown where they have been eaten. I definitely believe you have a very good chance. Obviously I'm not an admissions officer so I can't say for sure but you have the grades, challenging classes, and extracurricular depth that they are looking for. However, a large part of the college application is how you sell yourself...i.e. writing your essay and expressing your personality and interests. Try to choose a topic that is unique to your or that you can write in depth about and that really shows an aspect of who you are as a person. Your grades and academics are good...but I don't think there is any way to "guarantee" acceptance only based on this. With a strong essay though you definitely have a great chance :) Good luck!!

How would I make a scatterplot for this data?

Just get a piece of graph paper and create a graph by making one axis (the X axis) the exam 1 scores, the other axis (the Y axis) the exam 2 scores. Then plot 8 points on the graph, one for eeach person, where the position on the graph as (x,y) is (exam 1 score, exam 2 score). You might want to trim the axees so the exam 1 axis runs from 50 to 100 and the exam 2 axis runs from 40 to 100 or you could just do both axes as running from 0 to 100.

Studying through flashcards, but I still can't remember?

I am studying American History and there are 55 terms given to students through class lectures. 10 of those terms are going to be used on the test. We do not know which terms will be given, so this is going to be a bit worry some. The test is not a multiple choice answer. It is a term given to you, and you have to explain it the best you can. Each of those terms worth 5 points, and there will be some essay question that I have to study for which will worth 50 point.. I have created 55 flash cards, but I cannot remember all of them. I can only remember atleast 30 of those terms. My head hurts because I've been studying 4 hours straight including yesterdays hours. Right now, I am a bit clueless because a few hours ago, I remembered most of those terms, and now I forgot most of them. This is a summer class I'm taking, so days are going by really quick. I had this same exact problem with my dog and used the harness and stubborn thing still pulled too my next solution was to get a leader. This is like a harness that fits like a muzzle almost. You put it on them attach it to the collar and put their leash on in the middle of the part that connects it to the collar. Basically what this does is it turns his head every time he pulls. He may still try to but he'll stop on his own. When we put this on my dog for the first time it was like walking a whole different dog.

Monterrey: walk the pier..take the boat ride out to the bay, Aquarium..Cannery row..Take the drive around the point around sunset. Eat at the Sardine Factory (film spot for a clint eastwood movie), Go to Carmel and check out the Boar's Breath Bar (Clint tended bar there). Nepenthe restaurant on the way down Hiway 1. Take Hiway 1 all the way south along the coast and stop at Hearst Castle. Continue south and see the sea lions laying on the beach. Continue south and dogleg over to Solvang (swedish town)..Santa Barbara (mission/downtown/President Reagan library). Hiway 1 is a very winding road and will probably get your passengers carsick..you will take that road only once in your life. If it is not foggy, the views are sometime ok because the trees block much of the view and the other cars are pushing you. If you opt out of that, you can take 101 from San Jose and stop at the outlets in Gilroy, go to the mission at San Juan Bautista (where the film Vertigo was shot) and then continue either to Monterrey or Salina and see Steinbecks house. (close to Monterrey anyway). While in San Jose, you might go west to Capitola and eat at the Shadowbrook restaurant..it has a tramway that goes down the hill, or you can walk down thru their beautiful gardens. You can also try to get into the Moffet Naval base and tour the Ames NASA wind tunnel. Close to Frisco is the Hiller Aviation Museum...hell..go to Frisco for the day too!
